Kibabii Diploma Teachers Training College (KDTTC)

Kibabii Diploma Teachers Training College is a public teacher training institution located along the Chwele-Kimilili-Kamukuywa road in Bungoma County, Kenya. The college serves over 1,500 students training for the Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education (DSTE).

The college offers teaching subjects across sciences, languages, and humanities, including Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, Kiswahili, Geography, History, Agriculture, and Business Studies, with professional learning areas and physical education as compulsory components.

Accredited by the Ministry of Education and KNEC, the institution is the primary public diploma teacher training college in the western region, serving Bungoma, Busia, Kakamega, and Trans Nzoia counties.

Kibabii Diploma TTC leads research in secondary school pedagogical innovation, educational technology integration, continuous assessment frameworks, and teacher leadership development in western Kenya.

The college requires a minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ (Plus) for the Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education, with C+ in the two chosen teaching subjects. Competitive subject combinations include Mathematics and Biology, English and Kiswahili, and History and Christian Religious Education. The college accepts KUCCPS-placed and self-sponsored students. Bridging courses are available for applicants who do not meet direct entry requirements.
