Overview
Trainees develop competencies in professional studies, English language and literature content, geography content, cross-disciplinary pedagogy, special needs education, and ICT integration. The curriculum combines coursework with extensive teaching practice in secondary schools.
Kenya's education sector requires qualified teachers for both language and humanities subjects under the Competency Based Curriculum. The programme supports literacy development and environmental awareness in secondary education.
