A general chatbot will happily invent a university, a fee and an entry grade. This one answers out of the catalogue, and every claim it makes links to the record it came from.

What it makes

It knows two things a general model cannot.

What you have told it about yourself, and what is actually in the Kenyan catalogue. Those two constraints are the whole difference between advice that sounds right and advice you can act on, because both halves are checkable.

Is a diploma in analytics worth it if I already have a BCom?

Coach

A BCom already clears the entry bar for data engineering, so a diploma is not a requirement. Your roadmap skips it and goes straight to certification and hands-on pipelines.

If you want the credential for credibility it is fine, but it costs time and money that could go toward the AWS Certified Machine Learning, Specialty at KES 25,000, which employers here actually screen for.

Capabilities

What it actually does.

Grounded in the catalogue

Fees, entry marks, salary bands and exposure ratings come from records rather than from recall. Where the catalogue has no answer, the coach says so instead of producing a plausible one.

It has read your profile

Your strengths, your stage, your constraints and the targets you are weighing, all from six onboarding questions. You never restate your situation at the top of a conversation.

Every claim is a link

Mention a course and you get the course record. Quote a salary and you get the career it came from. Nothing is asserted that you cannot go and check in one click.

It asks before it recommends

Cost, location, family expectations and how long you can afford to study all change the answer. The conversation establishes them rather than assuming a default that fits nobody.

Pro and above

Conversations that persist

Threads are kept, so a decision you worked through in March is still there in August with the reasoning intact, and a saved record can be pinned to one as context it keeps referring back to.

Method

Three minutes of honest answers.

Six questions, and the profile is short on purpose. A long assessment gets abandoned, and an abandoned one tells you nothing.

  1. 01

    Answer the questions

A short guided conversation that adapts, so it does not ask what it can infer.

  2. 02

    Correct the profile

Read what it produced and fix anything that does not sound like you.

  3. 03

    Ask real questions

Whether a course is worth the fee, what a rating means for your plan.

  4. 04

    Follow the links

The coach is a way into the catalogue, not a replacement for reading it.

Access

Who gets it.

Every tool is on every tier. What a tier buys is credits, which is how much model work you can spend in a week.

The catalogue is open today and needs no account. The app itself is in invite-only beta.

Limits

Where it stops.

A grounded model is still a model. These are the boundaries the grounding does not remove.

5 stated

  • 01It only knows the catalogue. Kenyan courses, careers and institutions are covered; anything outside that is outside its knowledge, and it will say so rather than improvise.
  • 02It is not a counsellor. It can help you think through a decision about study and work. It is not equipped for anything else you might be carrying, and it should not be used as though it were.
  • 03It cannot verify what you tell it. The profile is your account of yourself, and the advice inherits whatever is inaccurate in it.
  • 04It quotes ratings that are derived. Every exposure figure it uses is an estimate built from published research, and it links to the record so you can weigh it yourself.
  • 05It does not apply on your behalf, contact institutions, or know today's intake status. Deadlines change faster than the catalogue does.
