Marist International University College (MIUC)

Founded in 1986 as the Marist International Centre (MIC) and upgraded to Marist International University College (MIUC) in September 2011, the institution is a constituent college of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). Located on Marist Lane off Lang'ata Road in Karen, Nairobi, MIUC serves over 400 students.

The college operates three departments including Education and Social Sciences, Business, and Arts and Social Sciences. Owned by the Conference of Major Superiors of the Marist Brothers of the African region, it embodies Marist educational values of Presence, Simplicity, Family Spirit, Love for Work, and In the Way of Mary.

Accredited by CUE, MIUC ranks 73rd nationally. The Marist Brothers, founded by St. Marcellin Champagnat, dedicate themselves to the education of children and young people, and MIUC prepares both religious and lay students from international and multicultural backgrounds for educational service across Africa.

Miuc focuses on research in education, youth formation, and social transformation, grounded in marist educational traditions that emphasise holistic formation and concern for the most neglected. the department of education and social sciences conducts research on pedagogical approaches, values based education, and the formation of young people in african contexts, drawing on the marist brothers' centuries long educational experience. the department of business investigates ethical entrepreneurship, social enterprise, and value based business management from a marist perspective. the department of arts and social sciences contributes research on social transformation, community development, and intercultural education. the master's degree in psycho spiritual therapy and counselling generates research on mental health, spiritual formation, and counselling practices in african contexts. partnership with cuea connects miuc to the broader catholic university network, while the marist brothers' global network links the college to marist educational institutions across africa and beyond. research output increasingly informs marist educational practice, youth ministry, and values based education across the african region.
