About
Established through Legal Notice No. 117 of 6th September 2018 as a constituent college of the University of Nairobi, Koitalel Arap Samoei University College (KSUC) operates from Mosoriot and Nandi Hills campuses in Nandi County. The idea was mooted in 2012-2014 by Nandi County leaders and professionals, with President Uhuru Kenyatta laying the foundation stone at Nandi Hills in June 2017.
The college serves over 1,800 students through three schools: Law, Education, and Business Management. Named after the institution the institution the institution, the Nandi Orkoiyot who led an 11-year resistance against British colonial railway construction, the campus includes an Athletics Track reflecting Nandi County's global reputation as a cradle of champion athletes.
Accredited by CUE and the IUCEA, KSUC ranks 69th nationally. It is the only public university college headquartered in Nandi County, serving as the primary higher education institution for the Nandi community.

Research
Research at ksuc focuses on agricultural innovations, environmental conservation, and nandi cultural preservation, with growing output in peer reviewed journals that reflects the institution's unique cultural heritage and location in one of kenya's most agriculturally productive regions. the college has signed a landmark memorandum of understanding with the national olympic committee of kenya (nock) to facilitate the development of an olympafrica youth centre at the mosoriot campus, supporting research on sports science, athletics development, and youth empowerment. ksuc is among 19 universities selected to benefit from the higher education, science and technology (hest ii) project, supported by the african development bank, which will fund the construction and equipping of applied sciences and agricultural engineering workshops and laboratories. the british high commission has engaged with ksuc on education, research, innovation, and capacity building partnerships. the university of nairobi mentorship provides research supervision and quality assurance. research output increasingly informs agricultural practice, sports science, and cultural preservation across nandi county and the wider north rift region.
