Mbeere North Technical and Vocational College (MNTV)

Mbeere North Technical and Vocational College, established in 2016, is a public TVET institution located in Mbeere North Sub-County, Embu County, Kenya. The college was founded to provide accessible, quality technical and vocational education to the local community and surrounding regions, addressing the skills gap in agriculture, engineering, and ICT.

Its mission is to equip learners with practical skills, knowledge, and attitudes for self-reliance, employment, and further training, contributing to Kenya's Vision 2030 and the Big Four Agenda.

Mbeere North Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Embu County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
