Mandera Technical Training Institute (MTTI) was established in 2015 as a public TVET institution to address the skills gap in Mandera County, a region historically underserved by vocational education. Located in the arid northeastern part of Kenya, the institute was founded through a partnership between the national government, county government, and development partners to enhance youth employability and economic resilience. Its mission is to provide accessible, quality technical training tailored to local community needs, particularly in agriculture, livestock management, renewable energy, and entrepreneurship.
