Bachelor of Entrepreneurship, Technology and Innovation Management

The Bachelor of Entrepreneurship, Technology and Innovation Management is a programme that combines entrepreneurial skills with technology and innovation management. Offered at select universities in Kenya, the programme prepares graduates for careers in entrepreneurship, innovation management and technology ventures.

The curriculum covers entrepreneurship theory, innovation management, technology entrepreneurship, business model design, venture capital, startup management, product development, intellectual property, digital innovation, business analytics, project management, strategic management, financial management for startups, marketing for innovation, research methods and a business plan project. Students develop creative and analytical skills for building and managing innovative ventures.

Kenya's startup ecosystem, the growth of tech hubs and the government's innovation agenda create demand for entrepreneurship and innovation graduates. The programme is offered through lectures, workshops, hackathons, incubator programmes and industry projects.

Graduates are prepared for careers as entrepreneurs, startup founders, innovation managers, product managers, venture analysts, technology consultants, business development managers, incubator managers and innovation officers. They work in startups, tech companies, innovation hubs, consulting firms, corporate innovation departments and as entrepreneurs.

The programme is accredited by the Commission for University Education (CUE). Admission requires KCSE mean grade C+ with C+ in Mathematics and English. KUCCPS Cluster 2.
