Bachelor of Business Information Technology

The Bachelor of Business Information Technology is a four-year degree programme offered at over 18 universities across Kenya. The curriculum covers business communication, financial accounting, management principles, programming, database systems, network administration, web development, systems analysis and design, e-commerce, business intelligence, IT project management, and strategic information systems. Students develop skills in software development, database management, business process analysis, IT project management, systems design, data analytics, and digital business strategy.

Graduates pursue careers as business analysts, systems analysts, IT project managers, database administrators, software developers, and business intelligence analysts. The programme is offered at over 18 universities including public institutions such as Technical University of Mombasa, University of Embu, Meru University of Science and Technology, and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, as well as private institutions such as KCA University, Kabarak University, Strathmore University, and Zetech University. Accreditation is provided by the Commission for University Education (CUE), the statutory body responsible for quality assurance and regulation of university education in Kenya.
