Bachelor of Business Information Management
The Bachelor of Business Information Management is a four-year programme that prepares graduates to manage business information systems and processes in modern organisations. Overview
Students develop competencies in information systems design, database management, business intelligence, data analysis, enterprise systems management, project management and business process improvement. They learn to manage organisational information, implement enterprise systems, analyse business data and support digital transformation. The programme covers both technical tools and business context for effective information management.
In Kenya, organisations across all sectors are adopting digital systems and enterprise applications. Banks, telecom companies, government agencies, manufacturers and service firms require professionals who can manage business information systems. The growth of e-government, digital services and data-driven decision-making increases demand. Kisii University and other institutions offer this programme to meet the growing need for information management professionals.
Teaching is delivered through lectures, ICT laboratory sessions, case studies, enterprise system workshops, research projects and industrial attachment.
