Bible Studies is only for those called to be pastors.

While pastoral ministry is a common path, Bible Studies graduates also work as teachers, chaplains, youth workers, Christian educators, counsellors, and NGO officers — the skills are applicable across many fields.

Bible Studies is not academically rigorous.

The programme involves biblical languages, historical analysis, textual criticism, theological reasoning, and exegetical methods — it is a rigorous academic discipline studied at universities worldwide.

A Bible Studies degree has limited career options.

Churches, schools, hospitals, prisons, military, NGOs, and faith-based organisations all employ Bible Studies graduates — with demand for chaplains, religious educators, and church staff in Kenya.

Bible Studies and Theology are the same thing.

While related, Bible Studies focuses primarily on the biblical text — its interpretation, context, and application, while Theology is broader, covering systematic doctrine, philosophy of religion, and ethical reasoning.

You need to know biblical languages before enrolling.

The programme teaches biblical Greek and Hebrew from the fundamentals — starting with alphabets and basic grammar, building progressively to reading and exegesis of biblical texts.
