Kenya Highlands Evangelical University (KHU)

Founded in 1932 as Kenya Highlands Bible Institute and chartered in 2011, Kenya Highlands Evangelical University (KHEU) is a private Christian university located in Kericho, Kericho County. The university serves over 3,000 students across its Main Campus.

The university operates four schools including Theology, Business, Education, and Arts and Social Sciences. Its Africa Gospel Church heritage integrates Christian faith with academic training across all programmes.

Accredited by CUE and the Africa Gospel Church Education Council, KHEU ranks 60th nationally. Its nearly century-long history of theological education makes it one of Kenya's oldest the institution training institutions, serving the Africa Gospel Church and the broader it community across Kenya.

A C+ mean grade is the minimum for a Bachelor's degree; competitive programmes (medicine, engineering, law, nursing, architecture) require higher grades and specific KCSE subject clusters. Master's programmes require a relevant Bachelor's degree; PhD programmes a relevant Master's degree.
