Wanga Technical and Vocational College was established in 2015 as a public TVET institution under the Ministry of Education in Kakamega County, Kenya. It was founded to address the skills gap among the youth in the Wanga region and to promote technical and vocational education and training (TVET) as a pathway to employment and self-reliance.
The college's mission is to provide quality, accessible, and affordable vocational training that equips learners with practical skills for the job market.
It plays a significant role in Kenya's national development agenda by producing a skilled workforce aligned with Vision 2030 and the TVET reforms of the 2020s.
