Sirisia Technical and Vocational College (STV2)

Sirisia Technical and Vocational College, established in 2012, is a public TVET institution located in Bungoma County, Kenya. The college was founded to provide hands-on technical skills and vocational training to address local and national skills gaps, especially in engineering, information technology, and business studies.

Over the years, it has grown from a small campus to a comprehensive college offering certificate, diploma, and higher diploma programmes.

The college currently offers programmes in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Communication Technology, Accounting, Secretarial Studies, and Hospitality Management. It also runs short courses in solar installation, welding, and tailoring.

Sirisia Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Bungoma County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
