Navakholo Technical and Vocational College (NTVTC)

Navakholo Technical and Vocational College, located in Kakamega County, was established in 2015 to address the growing demand for skilled labor in Western Kenya. Its mission is to provide affordable, competency-based training that equips students with practical skills for employment and self-reliance.

The college offers a range of programmes including Diploma and Certificate courses in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Studies, and Agriculture. It plays a vital role in the region by bridging the skills gap and fostering entrepreneurship among the youth.

With a focus on hands-on training and industry partnerships, The institution TVC contributes significantly to Kenya's Vision 2030 and the TVET sector's expansion.

Navakholo Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Kakamega County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
