Narok South Technical and Vocational College (NSTV)

Narok South Technical and Vocational College was established in 2016 as a public TVET institution under the Kenyan Ministry of Education. It was founded to address the skills gap in Narok South Sub-County and the wider Narok County by providing affordable, hands-on technical education. The college's mission is to equip youth with practical skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and community development, focusing on sectors like agriculture, ICT, engineering, and hospitality.

The college offers a range of certificate and diploma programmes accredited by TVETA, including Agribusiness, Information Communication Technology, Electrical Engineering, Building and Construction, and Hospitality Management.

Accredited by TVETA and KNEC, the institution serves as a key technical training centre for the region, supporting the local economy with skilled graduates.

Narok South Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Narok County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
