About
Masai Technical Training Institute (MTTI) was established in 1970 in Kajiado County to provide technical and vocational education to the Maasai community and surrounding regions in Kenya. Originally a youth polytechnic, it was upgraded to a technical training institute in 2009 under the TVET Act.
The institute's mission is to produce competent, innovative, and ethical graduates through hands-on training and industry linkages. MTTI offers a wide range of certificate and diploma programs in engineering, ICT, business, applied sciences, and hospitality.
As a key TVET provider in the Rift Valley, MTTI contributes to Kenya's Big Four Agenda by equipping youth with skills for employment and entrepreneurship. The institute has strong partnerships with local industries and community-based organizations, facilitating practical attachments and job placements.
