Lunga Lunga Technical and Vocational College (LLTV)

Lunga Lunga Technical and Vocational College, located in Lunga Lunga, Kwale County, was established in 2015 to address the demand for skilled labor in the coastal region. The college is committed to providing competency-based education and training (CBET) that aligns with Kenya's Vision 2030 and the Big Four Agenda.

It offers a wide range of programs including Certificate and Diploma courses in Business Studies, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Mechanics, Agriculture, and Hospitality. As a key TVET institution in the region, it plays a vital role in equipping youth with practical skills for employment and self-reliance, contributing to the reduction of youth unemployment in Kenya.

Lunga Lunga Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Kwale County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
