Godoma Technical Training Institute (GTTI)

Godoma Technical Training Institute, established in 2012, is a public TVET institution located in Homa Bay County, Kenya. It was founded to address the skills gap in the region and provide quality technical and vocational education.

The institute's mission is to equip learners with practical skills and knowledge for self-reliance and employment in line with Kenya's Vision 2030. It offers a range of diploma and certificate programs in engineering, ICT, business, and applied sciences.

As a key player in Kenya's TVET sector, The institution TTI contributes to the government's goal of increasing youth employability and fostering industrial growth.

Godoma Technical Training Institute conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Kilifi County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
