Gilgil Technical and Vocational College (GTV3)

Gilgil Technical and Vocational College (Gilgil TVC) is a public TVET institution located in Gilgil, Nakuru County, Kenya. Established in 2014, the college was founded to provide accessible and quality technical education to the region's youth, addressing the skills gap in engineering, ICT, and business fields.

Its mission is to produce competent, innovative, and ethical graduates through industry-aligned training and modern pedagogical approaches. The college offers certificate and diploma programs in automotive engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, information technology, business management, and hospitality.

As part of Kenya's TVET reform agenda, The institution TVC plays a vital role in equipping learners with hands-on skills essential for the country's industrialization and the 'Big Four' agenda. The institution emphasizes practical learning, community outreach, and partnerships with local industries to enhance graduate employability.

Gilgil Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Nakuru County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
