Fayya Technical and Vocational College (FTV)

Fayya Technical and Vocational College was established in 2015 with a mission to provide accessible, high-quality vocational training to Kenyan youth, particularly in the Rift Valley region. The college offers a range of diploma and certificate programmes in engineering, information technology, hospitality, and agriculture, aligning with Kenya's Vision 2030 and the Competency Based Education and Training (CBET) framework.

With a focus on practical skills and industry partnerships, The institution TVC aims to bridge the skills gap and enhance employability. As of 2026, the college continues to expand its course offerings and digital learning platforms, reflecting the evolving demands of the Kenyan economy.

Fayya Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Tana River County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
