The Bachelor of Purchasing and Supplies is a four-year degree programme that trains professionals in purchasing, procurement, and supplies management. The programme equips graduates with skills to manage procurement processes, inventory, and supply chain operations in both public and private sectors.

The curriculum covers principles of purchasing and supply, procurement management, inventory management, stores management, logistics, contract management, supply chain management, purchasing law, cost accounting, business statistics, operations management, quality management, and research methods.

Teaching combines lectures, case studies, simulations, industrial attachment, and a research project. Students develop practical skills in procurement planning, supplier evaluation, inventory control, and stores management. The programme emphasises ethical procurement and regulatory compliance.

Graduates pursue careers as purchasing officers, supplies managers, procurement officers, stores managers, inventory controllers, and supply chain coordinators. Opportunities exist in government ministries, county governments, manufacturing, retail, logistics companies, and NGOs.

The programme is offered at multiple public universities including Co-operative University of Kenya, Kisii University, Dedan Kimathi University, Taita Taveta University, and University of Embu. Admission requires a KCSE mean grade of C+ with C in Mathematics and English. The programme runs for eight semesters.

Accreditation is provided by the Commission for University Education (CUE). Annual tuition is approximately KES 183,600 at public universities based on KUCCPS data.
