About
Ugunja Technical and Vocational College (UTVC) is a public TVET institution located in Ugunja, Siaya County, Kenya. Established in 2010 under the Kenyan government's initiative to expand access to technical and vocational education, the college has grown to serve over 1,800 students from the Nyanza region and beyond.
Its mission is to provide quality, market-driven training that equips learners with practical skills for employment and self-reliance. The college offers a wide range of certificate and diploma programmes in engineering, ICT, business studies, hospitality, and agriculture, all aligned with the Kenya National Qualifications Framework.
As part of the national TVET reform agenda, UTVC plays a critical role in bridging the skills gap and fostering youth empowerment in western Kenya.
