Ngong Technical and Vocational College (NTV6)

Ngong Technical and Vocational College (NTVC) was established in 2010 to address the growing demand for skilled labor in Kajiado County and the larger Rift Valley region in Kenya. Initially operating as a community-based training center, it received full registration by TVETA in 2012 and has since expanded to become one of the leading TVET institutions in the county.

The college's mission is to provide accessible, quality, and affordable technical and vocational education that empowers students with practical skills for self-reliance and employment.

Ngong Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Kajiado County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
