Molo Technical and Vocational College (MTV13)

Molo Technical and Vocational College (MTVC) was established in 2014 by the Government of Kenya to provide accessible, quality technical and vocational education in Nakuru County. The college is situated along the Molo-Njoro road, serving a diverse student population from the Rift Valley region and beyond.

MTVC's mission is to equip learners with practical skills and competencies that meet the demands of the modern labor market, fostering self-reliance and entrepreneurship. The institution offers a wide range of programs including Certificate and Diploma courses in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Information Communication Technology, Business Studies, Hospitality and Tourism, Applied Sciences, and Agriculture.

As part of Kenya's TVET reform agenda, the college emphasizes hands-on training, industry partnerships, and innovation. MTVC plays a crucial role in bridging the skills gap in Kenya's industrializing economy,

Molo Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Nakuru County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
