Manyatta Technical and Vocational College (MTV4)

Manyatta Technical and Vocational College (MTVC) was established in 2012 to provide accessible and quality technical training to youth in the Manyatta region and beyond in Kenya. Located in Embu County, the college was founded to address the skills gap in the local economy, particularly in agriculture, engineering, and ICT. Over the years, MTVC has grown from offering a handful of certificate courses to a comprehensive portfolio of diploma and craft programs aligned with Kenya's Vision 2030 and the Competency Based Education and Training (CBET) curriculum.

The college's mission is to produce competent, innovative, and ethical graduates who can drive industrialization and self-reliance.

Accredited by TVETA and KNEC, the institution serves as a key technical training centre for the region.

Manyatta Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Embu County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
