Kinangop Technical and Vocational College (KTV8)

Kinangop Technical and Vocational College (KTVC) was established in 2014 to address the growing demand for skilled labor in Kenya's central region. The college is situated in Nyandarua County, providing accessible TVET education to youth from both rural and peri-urban areas. Its mission is to offer competency-based training that aligns with Kenya's Vision 2030 and the Big Four Agenda, focusing on industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, and ICT.

The college offers a diverse range of diploma and certificate programs, including Electrical Engineering, Information Communication Technology, Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism, and Agricultural Technology.

Accredited by TVETA and KNEC, the institution serves as a key technical training centre for the region, supporting the local economy with skilled graduates.

Kinangop Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Nyandarua County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
