Kinango Technical and Vocational College (KTV7)

Kinango Technical and Vocational College (KTVC) was established in 2016 to address the skills gap in Kwale County and the broader Coastal region of Kenya. The college's mission is to provide high-quality, hands-on technical training that empowers youth with employable skills and fosters entrepreneurship.

KTVC offers a diverse range of programmes in engineering, ICT, business, agriculture, and applied sciences, catering to both school leavers and adult learners seeking upskilling. As a public TVET institution, it plays a crucial role in Kenya's Vision 2030 by producing a skilled workforce for industries such as manufacturing, agribusiness, and the blue economy.

The college is committed to competency-based education and training (CBET) and works closely with local employers to ensure curriculum relevance and job placement for graduates.

Kinango Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Kwale County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. Applied research projects collaborate with local informal sector artisans (Jua Kali), county vocational directorates, and community micro-enterprises to deliver practical engineering prototypes and community-level economic solutions.
