About
Kajiado West Technical and Vocational College (KWTVEC) was established in 2016 under the Kenyan government's initiative to expand TVET access in arid and semi-arid regions. Located in Ngong, Kajiado County, the college serves a diverse student body from pastoralist and peri-urban communities.
Its mission is to provide hands-on, industry-relevant training that empowers youth with employable skills and entrepreneurial competencies. The college offers certificate and diploma programs in Agriculture, Information Communication Technology, Hospitality and Tourism, Electrical Engineering, and Building Technology.
As of 2026, KWTVEC has strengthened partnerships with local businesses and the The institution County Government to align curricula with regional labor market demands, particularly in agribusiness and renewable energy.
