Chepsirei Technical and Vocational College (CHETVC)

Chepsirei Technical and Vocational College is a public TVET institution located in Chepsirei, Elgeyo Marakwet County, Kenya. Established in 2019 and commissioned by the Deputy President, the college serves the North Rift region with competency-based education and training programmes.

The institution offers diploma, craft certificate, and artisan courses across engineering, business studies, ICT, hospitality, fashion design, and agriculture, with a Centre of Excellence in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Facilities include equipped workshops, computer laboratories, and a demonstration farm.

Accredited by TVETA and examined by KNEC and CDACC, the institution produces mid-level professionals who contribute to national development across the North Rift region and beyond.

Chepsirei Technical and Vocational College conducts applied technical research and skills innovation aligned with the TVET CDACC Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework and Elgeyo-Marakwet County development priorities. The institution hosts annual technical trade exhibitions and participates in regional KATTI research fairs, showcasing student and faculty innovations in renewable energy (solar and biogas installations), metal fabrication, agricultural mechanization, electrical building services, and ICT business solutions. The college requires a minimum KCSE mean grade of C- (Minus) for diploma programmes, D (Plain) for craft certificates, and open entry for artisan courses. Competitive programmes include Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Accountancy, and Diploma in ICT. The college accepts KUCCPS-placed and self-sponsored students. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programmes are available for applicants with industry experience.
