Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science

The Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science is a doctoral programme offered at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology through the School of Computing and Information Technology, at Kenyatta University, at the University of Nairobi, at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, and at Strathmore University. Teaching is delivered through coursework and supervised research. At JKUAT, the School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) offers PhD with total cost of KSh 681,250 over 3 years. Application fee is KSh 1,500. At DeKUT, the programme requires MSc in Computer Science or IT from DeKUT or recognised institution. At Strathmore, the programme fee is KSh 1,725,100 over 3 years with an interview fee of KSh 6,000.
