The Doctor of Philosophy in Agro-Ecosystems and Environment is a doctoral programme focused on the ecological dynamics of agricultural systems and their environmental interactions. Students conduct ecological field research in agricultural landscapes, analyse environmental data and develop sustainable management models. The programme is offered full-time and part-time with a minimum duration of three years.

Graduates pursue careers as university professors, agro-ecology researchers, environmental consultants, conservation scientists and policy advisors. They work in universities, KALRO, NEMA, international conservation organisations and government ministries.
