Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Education and Extension
The Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Education and Extension is a doctoral programme offered at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) and other Kenyan universities. It combines agricultural education theory with extension practice to produce scholars capable of improving how agricultural knowledge is taught and disseminated to farmers and rural communities.

Teaching is delivered through coursework, seminars and supervised research at MMUST in Kakamega. Students conduct field research with extension officers, farmers and agricultural organisations. The programme is offered full-time and part-time with a minimum duration of three years.
