Common misconceptions

  • Chemical engineering diploma holders work only in labs.

    Much of the work is plant/process-floor based, operating and monitoring industrial equipment rather than laboratory bench work.

  • This is the same as Analytical Chemistry.

    Chemical Engineering focuses on industrial process operations, while Analytical Chemistry focuses on laboratory testing and analysis.
