A typical day starts with a morning lecture on drilling engineering, reservoir engineering, or production engineering, followed by laboratory work, drilling simulations, reservoir modelling exercises, or field visits. Students work on drilling designs, reservoir models, production forecasts, well completion designs, economic analyses, and petroleum engineering research. Laboratory work for fluid properties and core analysis, drilling simulations, reservoir modelling exercises, and industrial attachment at Tullow Oil, NOCK, KPC, or an oil and gas company provide practical experience.
