Bachelor of Business Science

The Bachelor of Business Science is a four-year programme that provides a rigorous, analytical approach to business education, combining quantitative methods with business management principles. Students study economics, statistics, finance, accounting, management and business analytics, developing strong analytical and decision-making skills. The programme emphasises evidence-based business decision-making and quantitative analysis.

Students develop competencies in quantitative analysis, economic modelling, financial analysis, statistical methods, business research, management and strategic planning. They learn to analyse business data, build economic models, conduct market research, evaluate investment decisions and apply scientific methods to business problems. The programme covers both theoretical rigour and practical business applications.

In Kenya, there is growing demand for analytically skilled business professionals who can make data-driven decisions. Banks, consulting firms, research organisations, government agencies and corporations require graduates with strong quantitative skills. Nairobi's status as a regional financial hub and the growth of data-driven business practices increase opportunities. Graduates find roles in financial analysis, consulting, research, business analytics and management.

Teaching is delivered through lectures, quantitative workshops, case studies, research projects and industrial attachment. Students analyse datasets, build models, conduct research and undertake internships in analytical business roles. The programme includes a final-year research project.

Graduates pursue careers as business analysts, financial analysts, research analysts, management consultants and business intelligence specialists. Some work in banks, consulting firms or corporations. Others join research institutions, government agencies or pursue postgraduate study.

This programme is ideal for individuals with strong numerical aptitude, analytical minds and interest in evidence-based decision-making. Students who enjoy working with data, solving problems and applying scientific methods to business will find this programme particularly engaging.
